PK, the Raj Kumar Hirani film, is another popular movie. This 2014 drama was the first Bollywood film to cross the Rs 300-crore club, despite inviting ire from different religious groups. Starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, and Saurabh Shukla, PK was a big hit. It also featured Ranbir Kapoor, who appeared in a cameo role in the film’s climax.

Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor, the historical drama centered around the infamous Alauddin Khilji, the Queen of India, and Maharawal Ratan Singh. The movie caused controversy because it portrayed Alauddin Khilji as an evil Muslim king. The Karni Sena sought to ban it, but the film grossed nearly 400 crore worldwide.
