The Earth provides us food, shelters, resources, and many more things. So we must protect the planet. And one of the ways you can show our care for the world is by recycling. The most crucial advantage of recycling is that it helps protect our environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. So, we won’t have to face the consequences of climate change.
How Electronic Recycling Takes Places
In this generation, we are surrounded by electronic things. Such as mobile, computer, laptop, television and many more. And many people don’t know that like plastic, we can recycle electronic wastes as well. Recycling electronic wastes will help to save a considerable amount of energy. Here are the steps, how to recycle electronic scraps properly.
- Collect And Transport
The first stage of recycling electronic waste starts with collecting. If you have any electric waste to discard, you will have to find some collection bins in specific places or take-back booths. When the containers get full, recyclers have to transport all the wastes to recycling plants or facilities.
- Shred And Sort
The next stage of recycling electronic wastes is shredding and sorting. Due to shredding, subsequent separation occurs. And this step must be as much efficient as possible. In shredding, the electronic wastes are broken into smaller pieces. So that we can quickly sort them. By the use of hands as well as machines, all the smaller pieces are separated to get different parts. Different parts get labeled as other categories. We can re-use not all electronic wastes. And the things that we can use again will go on further recycling. In most cases, electronic wastes are sorted manually. But we shouldn’t handle items such as light, batteries, UPS batteries, fluorescent, and toner cartridges manually.
- Dust Extraction
The smaller pieces of the electronic wastes that we can’t use need to be smoothed down. And using to smooth the tiny particles, a machine called the conveyor belt used. On the conveyor belt, all the little pieces are spread to be broken down into smaller pieces until they become dust. So this is how we get the dust extracted and discarded so that it doesn’t harm the environment. All these processes are done to protect the environment.
- Magnetic Separation
Complete recycling electronic wastes; a magnet is required. The purpose of the interest is to separate magnetic things such as iron and steel from other debris. Using other complicated processes, aluminum, circuit board, and copper are obtained from other wastes.
- Preparing Recycled Materials For Sale
The last step of the recycling process is to prepare the things that we can use again. Of course, they won’t be as good as the new ones. But we can use them for practical purposes. To recycle materials, at first, the material is separated during SSS. Then they are prepared as raw materials.
All these steps are a summary of the whole process. Of course, all the steps are not that easy to carry out.
